Cardo Systems, a global leader in wireless communication systems for powersports, has introduced ‘Mesh Boost,’ a major software update for its PACKTALK communication systems that expands Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) group capacity to up to 31 riders and passengers. The free over-the-air update also adds Public Mesh and Remote Grouping, giving riders more flexible ways to connect and organize group rides.

Public Mesh allows riders to communicate spontaneously with nearby DMC users within range by selecting the feature through the Cardo Connect App, while Remote Grouping enables groups to be created in advance by sharing a link generated within the app. Once riders are within range, their devices automatically connect to the DMC network. Cardo’s DMC technology creates a self-healing and self-adjusting mesh network that maintains full-duplex communication as riders join, leave, or move out of range, reducing the need for manual re-pairing.

The Mesh Boost update is available free through the Cardo Connect App for eligible second-generation DMC devices, including the PACKTALK PRO, PACKTALK EDGE, and PACKTALK NEO. The expanded 31-rider Mesh is also compatible with previous PACKTALK generations, although older devices will not receive the new Mesh Boost capabilities themselves. Cardo has also introduced an updated Cardo Connect App interface designed to make the new features easier to navigate. The update does not yet cover Harley-Davidson and Schuberth SC-EDGE units, which are expected to receive their own Mesh Boost release in Q4 2026.
