New Ducati Panigale V4 Scores Perfect PSBK Debut with Access Plus Racing at CIS

Access Plus Racing continued its dominant campaign in the 2026 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK), delivering another pair of commanding 1–2 finishes at Clark International Speedway (CIS) while celebrating the successful race debut of Ducati’s all-new seventh-generation Panigale V4. Despite challenging weather conditions and limited preparation time, the new superbike immediately showcased its potential by sweeping both races and reinforcing the team’s position at the front of the championship.

Preparations for the race weekend were far from ideal as persistent rain throughout Thursday and Friday significantly reduced valuable track time. Nevertheless, the team maximized every opportunity to evaluate the new Panigale V4, including a revised fairing package fitted to TJ Alberto’s machine. When dry conditions finally arrived during qualifying, the Alberto brothers quickly demonstrated the bike’s competitiveness, with Troy Alberto securing pole position and reigning champion TJ Alberto qualifying second to lock out the front row for Access Plus Racing.

Race day saw the Alberto brothers dominate proceedings in both contests. In Race 1, TJ Alberto overtook Troy on the third lap and steadily built a comfortable advantage to secure victory, while Troy completed a Ducati Panigale V4 debut 1–2 finish. Rain returned for Race 2, creating difficult and constantly changing track conditions, but the result remained the same as TJ controlled the race from the front and Troy once again finished second. Japanese guest rider Akito Haga, son of World Superbike legend Noriyuki Haga, completed the podium in both races aboard his Yamaha YZF-R1.

The perfect debut weekend highlighted the immediate competitiveness of Ducati’s latest superbike and provided valuable data for further development. While pleased with the results, the team remains focused on continuous improvement ahead of Round 3 scheduled on August 1–2 at CIS. “The results are encouraging, but we know there is still more performance to unlock from the bike,” said Team Principal Toti Alberto. “Our focus now is to keep developing the package and ensure we are ready for the challenges ahead as the competition continues to grow.”
