SUZUKI SCOOTERS BACK FOR THE SECOND SEASON OF THE 2024 MAHARLIKA PILIPINAS BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Suzuki Philippines Incorporated has returned as the official motorcycle partner of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) for the second consecutive year. This partnership between the renowned brand and the MPBL, also known as “Liga ng Bawat Pilipino,” bolsters the league’s mission of discovering and nurturing exceptional basketball talents across the nation. Suzuki Scooters once again take the spotlight as the brand’s ambassadors, perfectly complementing the fast-paced action on the court.

Team Suzuki joined the MPBL as it launched its 2024 season at the Calasiao Sports Complex in Pangasinan on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The thunderous cheers of the crowd and the adrenaline-pumping excitement on the basketball court marked the electrifying return of professional basketball action.

The opening ceremony, hosted by the province of Pangasinan, a new addition to the MPBL family this season, set the stage for another thrilling season. Thirty teams, including three exciting newcomers – the Abra Weavers, Pangasinan Heatwaves, and Tarlac United Force – gear up to compete for the coveted championship title. The Pampanga Giant Lanterns, reigning champions and North Division victors of the previous season, stand as a formidable force to reckon with.

Distinguished guests gracing the event included MPBL Founder Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes, Board Member Joseph Ramos, Marketing Head Seth Jamora, Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III, Calasiao Pangasinan Mayor Kevin Roy Macanlalay, and La Paz, Abra Mayor Joseph Bernos. They were joined by Suzuki Philippines’ Marketing Communications Group Head Ms. Edelyn Yanilla, Product Marketing and Data Group Head Ms. Victoria Caringal, and Field Marketing Group Head Mr. Johnny De Guzman.

Suzuki Philippines will also add excitement to the live games with a thrilling half-court shootout competition. Three participants will have the chance to shoot their shot for a brand new Suzuki Avenis during each game. Additionally, attendees can explore Suzuki’s latest scooters on display and avail of special promos during the event.
